James Stanford is an experience entrepreneur with over 25 yrs. of success to his credit and brings his strght in visionary leadership, global management and strategic product marketing to enhance shareholders profitability. His background encompasses developing and running start-ups through to executive management roles in top Fortune 100 companies.
Mr. Stanford has direct experience living and working on four continents and understands how to bridge cultural gap. His early experience extends back to Istanbul, where at the age of 16, he established a retail store importing and selling the first PCs - Sinclair Computers in Turkey. From this humble beginning, Mr. Stanford's leadersgip ability expanded to "First in the World" initiatives and products such as the world's first multi-media learning station at Cornell University under the National Science Foundation (NSF), HDTV and SONET developments at Toshiba in Japan, and wireless dongle receivers for input/output devices at Logitech in the U.S.A.
As the top business strategist, Mr. Stanford led and grew Logitech's (NASDAQ:LOGI) Strategic OEM business to $200 million/yr. Mr. Stanford was appointed as one of three General Managers at the company, after making it the number one PC-OEM manufacturer worldwide, shipping 300 million units under his leadership. His business unit served more than 30 Tier-1 and Tier-2 PC-OEM companies like Apple, Dell, HP, Lenovo and SONY.
Mr. Stanford recently served as the Chief Strategy Officer and President for Epos, an Intel Capital Portfolio company. He has served a number of global hi-tech companies by helping C- and Board Level executives with corporate and go-to-market strategies.
James Stanford is a graduate of the Executive Program at Building New Ventures from Harvard Business School, holds a Executive MBA from the University of San Francisco, a Masters degree in Engineering from Cornell University, a BSEE degree from Widener University and an Advanced Studies degree in Electronics from the prestigious Bogazici (Bosphorus) University in Turkey.
